Photographer’s Statement: City skylines fascinate me. When I was a young kid we lived in the Windsor Hills section of Baltimore. There was one particular way that we would head downtown that would always bring the city skyline into view. I still can remember the thrill of seeing the tall buildings in the distance, all clumped together. There were times also that we come into the city by boat. To see the dense downtown hovering on the edge of the water, always seemed to give my heart a little jump of awe.
Process: Process: Some of the images are structured, “bleached,” and color toned, while others are straight from the original image. The original images are either digital and film. The ones from film are noted in the slide show. I have found that the bleached images do exceptionally well when printed on canvas or metal.
