April - May 2009 | Vol.1, No. 2
With this issue we introduce a new feature to Urban Paradoxes, "Urban Sketches." Each issue will feature a different urban sketcher. We are also happy to announce that Shiho Nakaza will also be contributing an original sketch to each issue.

Venice Beach
Watercolor
This is a sketch of an early afternoon on a typical Saturday at Venice Beach, which is in Los Angeles, California. I believe this is what makes cities charming: creating a setting for a wide mix of people - locals and tourists, friends and strangers - to meet and interact with each other in a relaxed setting.
