Urban Paradoxes

river_street_adjAs a kid I was fascinated by the city— her industry, her buildings, her transportation network, her people, her smells. I was fascinated with the mom & pop corner stores, the neighborhood shopping districts, the neighborhood theaters. The city’s decay and ruin, her smells, and especially its paradoxes, beckoned me … still do … still am.

My hope is that the images populating Urban Paradoxes will reflect that fascination, and even better, stir up your memories of, and fascination with, the city.
