Documenting the Urban Experience

Projects & Opportunities

Before we can have a vision of what type of city we want, we have to know, how do we want to live? Because really, a city is only a means to a way of life.

-Enrique Peñalosa (World Urban Forum, 2006,
 Mayor of Bogotá, 1998-2000)

Projects:

Urban Paradoxes will bring to the web a unique, well-edited, mix of cutting-edge urban planning and social edge critique and playful encounter with urban culture in all of its guises. With nothing sacrosanct, Urban Paradoxes is about being real and living sustainably in a mediocre, one size fits all, mass-marketed world.

Urban Puncture

Creative, off-the-wall, sometimes ad-hoc, artistic experiences in all genres that (1) punctuate every-day urban life, (2) bring about interactive discourse between the public, the artists, and the work, and (3) heighten symbolic values common to the urban experience. Venues for Urban Puncture range from streets to galleries and everything in between. The medium is limited only by the imagination.
