Photographer’s Statement: Having studied construction engineering I am fascinated by skyscrapers and the engineering that went into them, but even more so, by their structural beauty. I also am intrigued with the idea of changing the reality of a scene through the structure of a photograph. Structure can make an image futuristic, old, noir, to name but a few possibilities. To me, each rendering makes the building all that more fascinating.
Process: Most images are deeply structure, “bleached,” and color toned. The black & white are rendered from a color image after processing, and then enhanced and “toned” with a digital filter. Bordered images are available without borders.
